ClickSquared Finishes Q2 with a 93% Increase in EBITDA

New Products, Record Bookings and Organic Growth Drive Strong Financial Results

WALTHAM, Mass., August 11, 2010 – ClickSquared® Incorporated, a premier provider of email and cross-channel database marketing solutions, today announced financial results for its second quarter, ended June 30, 2010.

“We are pleased to have added additional clients to our roster of innovative cross-channel marketers, and to have grown existing client relationships to achieve significant EBITDA growth in a challenging economy,” said ClickSquared CEO, Wayne Townsend. “We’ve also been able to develop and launch innovative new products that have taken ClickSquared and the solutions we offer to the next level.  Our expanded cross-channel marketing capabilities and increased visibility in the marketplace have led to significant increases in inbound inquiries and new sales opportunities.”

EBITDA Growth

Privately held ClickSquared announced a 93% year-over-year increase in H1 EBITDA and a nearly four-fold increase in year-over-year June EBITDA.  EBITDA (Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation and Amortization) is a commonly used proxy for measuring cash flow from operations.  Factors contributing to this dramatic increase include new clients, increased spending by current clients and continued expense control.  Growth was particularly notable among current key clients such as HomeAway, Bank of America and Verizon.

Sales and Revenue Growth

Sales bookings -- predominately composed of multi-year subscriptions -- doubled year-over-year.   “ClickSquared recognizes revenue on a monthly basis over the term of the subscription, and recognition only begins once the client is live our Click 3G platform,” said ClickSquared CFO, Joyce Bell.  “Accordingly, the real impact of this new business will be felt over the coming quarters where we expect it to fuel continued strong revenue and EBITDA growth.”  New relationships include The Miami Dolphins, The Leading Hotels of the World, Redspottedhanky.com and M|C Comm, among others. 

New Products

In March, ClickSquared unveiled its third generation SaaS (Software as a Service) marketing platform, Click 3G.
